Access to FRM-II

For access to JCNS instruments located at FRM-II to perform experiments users have to register via the JCNS online user office system. Any visit to FRM-II has to be announced within the system using the Arrival Departure module. There you have to announce your day of arrival and day of departure. For accommodation you have to indicate your need of assistance finding a hotel, elsewhere you have to organize this by yourself.

As soon as you have received confirmation of your accommodation you have to inform the JCNS user office by e-mail to neutron@fz-juelich.de on your final dates of arrival and departure if you want to receive reimbursement of your travel expenses by JCNS.

Next is to inform yourself on the Access to the site FRM-II where you find all necessary information for your stay at FRM-II. This information is within the module UserGuide at categorie Access to the site FRM-II.

Most important are the documents requested for the personal radiation monitoring. This is described under categorie Radiation protection within the UserGuide module.
German visitors have to have a Strahlenpass, non German visitors from institutions from other countries have to bring a Declaration of all radiation doses obtained by your home institute.

Finally on arrival and departure of your visit you have to show up at the JCNS User Office for travel reimbursement in case your experiments are supported by NMI3 or FZ-Jülich. Please note that all travel reimbursements will be paid only by transfer to your bank account after receipt of all original invoices and filled in JCNS reimbursement form.

How to find JCNS and FRM-II
